When loading TSM, I get the error: "// Error: Unable to dynamically load : C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya###/bin/plug-ins/TSM2.mll The specified module could not be found". What should I do?

You need msvcp71.dll, which is usually present but occasionally mysteriously missing. It can be downloaded for free from several websites which are easily found by Google searching for "msvcp71.dll". Once you have the file, there are two places you can put it in order to fix the problem:

A. -- In C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya###\bin\ which fixes the problem just for Maya

B. -- In C:\WINDOWS\system32\ which fixes this problem for every application on your computer, since there are often other applications that require this DLL file. We usually recommend this option, unless you don't want to touch the WINDOWS directory in which case the Maya/bin directory will work fine.

Where's my serial number?

When you purchase the downloadable of TSM2 for Maya from the Anzovin Studio Store, a serial number will be emailed to the address you specified in your order IN ONE BUSINESS DAY. If you have serial number questions, please contact sales@anzovin.com.

Is the TSM2 plug-in required to use the TSM2 rig?

No, the TSM2 rig uses only standard Maya nodes, so it can be loaded into any copy of Maya, whether it has had TSM2 installed or not. You only need TSM2 to create the rig.

Can TSM2 rig quadrupeds?

Yes, TSM2's modular rigging system allows you to create a character with any configuration of limbs.

Can TSM2 rig insects or birds?

Although you can use the modular rigging system to hook up the provided rigging widgets in almost any configuration imaginable, there isn't, as yet, an insect leg or wing widget. That said, cartoony insects will usually work fine with existing leg widgets and we've had some success using TSM arm rigs within a wing, so some insects and birds may work fine.

How do I attach my own rigged components to a TSM rig?

Once the TSM rig has been created, the usable joints contained within the TSM rig will be visible. You can parent anything you want to these joints, or use them as a framework for a muscle system (like Maya muscle), or bind geometry to them manually rather then using TSM's auto-weighting.

Can I set up my character's face with TSM2?

No, TSM2 does not create facial rigs. But we do offer a plug-in that does just that called The Face Machine. Click HERE to learm more.

Can I use my current serial number with updates?

If you've downloaded a bug-fix recompile from TSM's DOWNLOADS page, you can continue using your serial number. If you are upgrading to a different version of TSM (example: Switching from Maya 8.5 to Maya 2008), you will need to contact sales@anzovin.com to receive a new serial number.
