This entirely new rigging product in development at Anzovin Studio is not an auto rigging tool. Instead, it's an almost ground-up rewrite of Maya's existing rigging tools, allowing for advanced features formerly impossible in Maya. Anzovin Rig Tools' key features are expected to include:
Advanced Weight Painting Tools
We're developing visible and adjustable influence areas for each bone combined with a new painting interface that intelligently reassigns weights on the fly.
Twistable & Bendable Bones
Anzovin Rig Tools' new deformable bone type acts like Maya joints, but can bend, twist, stretch, bulge, and deform itself, taking any bound surface with it. Volume retention within a joint and natural twisting of arms and legs will be basic features of any bone, making complex rigs with huge influence lists a thing of the past.
Stretchy IK Solvers
TSM2's advanced anti-IK pop stretchy controls are arrived at by a complex chain of hypergraph nodes-Anzovin Rig Tools does the same thing as a natural property of it's new IK solvers. Advanced stretchy IK is as easy as applying the IK handle.
Scriptable Through Mel
Unlike TSM2 and TFM, ART is not a black box. All of the new tools available in ART are fully open to MEL scripting, making them easy to integrate into existing pipelines in any way necessary.
